Detailed Description
An intriguing rum from Barbados’ Foursquare distillery. This is combined of two rums: one aged for five years in bourbon and then six years in ex-Zinfandel wine casks, and an 11-year-old matured full term in bourbon casks. These were then blended together and bottled in September 2015. Fruity and full of vanilla notes.
Foursquare 11 Year Old Zinfandel Cask Blend Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: Tempting, warm aromas of ripe cherries, stewed fruit and fresh strawberries, then a wave of sweet spice and pink peppercorn arrives. Fresh and fruity.
Palate: Well-balanced combo of cinnamon and nutmeg joined by toasty oak, strawberries and raspberries, boozy raisins and sultanas. Big and rich, but kept fresh with the red-fruit notes.
Finish: Delicious rich spiciness along with dried-fruit sweetness.
